This fall I am planing a 150 bike ride from Pittsburgh, PA to Cumberland, MD. The training ritual consist of weight training, bike rides, and short runs. Actually, the ride is in preparation for my spring half marathon.
McKeesport, PA is home to this old round house. I know it is along an old B&O line, now CSX. The building dates back to 1906, the sand tower above a covered pit still stands.
I like the progress and transformation my body is going through to endure this adventure. Not only have my legs become stronger, my arms and back are gaining strength too. Healthy snacks and lots of water join me. Almonds and granola are the go to snack, they can survive the heat. For dinner… salmon, sweet potatoes, and broccoli. Oh and lots more water.
